a local LJ friend recently posted some WONDERFUL costume photos: http://glaswegian-took.livejournal.com/46338.html well done; well done! Oh shoot, I think it may be a friends locked post. Anyway, it's her looking sharp as Debra and her bf as Dex!

And then I found out, while checking the DEXTER message boards, that actor Michael C. Hall has recently been treated for cancer. He has Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which is now (thankfully) in remission. He showed up at the recent Golden Globe Awards wearing a skull cap...

2) Harris, Charlaine. DEAD UNTIL DARK. Ace: 2001

A couple of weeks ago, I finally gave in and decided to watch some of the TRUE BLOOD vampire series. Then I decided to start reading the Sookie Stackhouse: Southern Vampire novels as well. Ok, I can see the appeal, but I'm still on my highbrow highhorse and boycotting TWILIGHT.

wow.

[livejournal.com profile] girlnamedxena had a interesting thought post in her journal about men and feminism. She also linked to this blog, the intelligent writings in which prove that the topic (of men and feminism) is not an oxymoron.

Later edit...I'm still reading through some of Hugo S's Archives. This is the well written, personal reflection/ memoir (but not self centered rambling stuff) I wish my journal was!

Guess I am predisposed to be fawning though...the gentleman is a feminist, college professor, and a vegetarian and a runner too!

One of my library coworkers posted this article about a roller derby playing librarian to her Facebook. Her jersey number is 796.21 -- the Dewey Decimal library index number for skating!
