not a bad day
"slept in" til 8 am.
Went to the laundromat for clean clothes.
Met Kara for lunch, Subway sandwiches and chat; ran some errands with her afterward. She showed me her latest piece of artwork, a really impressive Dragon head portrait; the detail and shading on the scales was awesome!
Indulged a short afternoon nap.

ryokara and I are trying to work out when we can meet up; I'm adopting a handmedown cat from her. (Yes, I decided I can handle another pet.)

steamfashion; there's some nifty creative stuff there. In the last week, I've had two different LJ friends mention Steampunk as being the "new Goth" and the "thinking person's Goth". Shrug; it appeals to my morbid Victorian interests. :)
Took an evening walk, both easy and long. 7 miles. I walked up to Bandito Burrito, took a breather and had dinner (taco salad without the fried tortilla shell) and then walked another four miles before ending up back at home. Last half hour or so was in the dark; that's going to be the only problem with Summer ending, daylight getting shorter.
