I must have slept scrunched up in a weird position last night, my neck and shoulders are achy this morning. Kinda feel like something the cat dragged in. I'll go for a walk at lunch time and see if I can stretch out a bit then. (I also need to go to the bank and call my daughter, so it'll be a busy multitasking sort of lunch break)

2 mile (hot humid sweat) walk.

Found an interesting book while straightening library shelves this morning:
Garfield, Simon. MAUVE: HOW ONE MAN INVENTED A COLOR THAT CHANGED THE WORLD. This is an odd little book, combining information on science, Victoriana, fashion and color. It's partly a biography of Sir William Perkin, the 19th century chemist who inadvertently discovered the formula for a coal based aniline dye, and also a social history of "mauve" and an examination of the resulting advances in the industrial (and fashion) applications of chemical research.
