The costume auction ended this morning with a selling price of 251$; just what I need to completely pay for my tattoo!!!
Yah, I know, there will always be other bills and mundane crap that should be taken care of--but I'm going to go ahead and get inked. I wouldn't have had this cash if I hadn't sacrificed something (Tazzel's costume); so, it's a trade of art for art, this piece of myself for that piece.
Have decided that I am going to get the tattoo placed on my left thigh. I figured since part of the reason for getting it is because of being a body donor, I should get it in a place where it'd be more visible--that is, cadavers are usually laid face up on the dissecting table. Besides, this way I can also look at it (before the medical students do), rather than having it on my back where you only get an in the mirror glance once in a while.
Oh, that reminds me. I had a dream last night about getting a tattoo in the open spot on my shoulder blade, and it wasn't the anatomy design. Not sure what the design was, something inside an ornate oval frame. Or maybe it was just the framework, kind of like a magic mirror where the inside image wasn't fixed. Kind of a sexy dream too, as the tattoo artist sat behind me, his thighs around my hips as he worked on my back (Russ had snuggled me in bed the night before in this sitting back to chest position).
Sewing work continues on the doll project.
