Hannah and I are doing our usual.

We went to the movies yesterday for a matinee of Sex & The City. I'll admit to guilty pleasures, I was a fairly devoted fan of the series when it first aired. The movie reunion was enjoyable enough for what it was, a chick flick. I can't really relate to the affluent city lifestyles, but I do wish I had a cadre of friends like that. There was some great fashion, and equal amounts of hideous couture. The plot's relationship angst made me wonder if this was the best movie choice at the moment, but of course there were happy endings. And I liked Samantha's failed sushi food porn scene.

Also caught the ending of Andromeda Strain on tv. I remember feeling OMG about the 70's original; but I was just an adolescent discovering science fiction back then. It was one of the first science fiction movies I'd seen. This remake seemed a bit flat in comparison.

I'm ditzing around while Hannah is still sleeping in. Once she gets up, we'll probably go grocery shopping so I can cook her a Mommy-made meal before I head back home this afternoon.

Russ has promised he'll spend this evening with me. I'm not thinking any further or deeper than just enjoying being with him curled up close.

42) Lesy, Michael. DEATH TRIP WISCONSIN. University of New Mexico Press: 1973.

See earlier post. Interesting art/history document. Found myself wondering if my father, with his genealogy interests, might appreciate this book, or if he would just find it morbid?
