Book #43

43) Kligman, Ruth. LOVE AFFAIR: A MEMOIR OF JACKSON POLLOCK. Cooper Square Press: 1974.

It's a memory of Jackson but a memoir of Kligman chronicling their affair. She lived with the tormented and brilliant abstractionist, and survived the car crash which killed Pollock and a friend.

Yet another troubled age gap relationship.

I was also really impressed by the 2000 film POLLOCK, directed by and starring Ed Harris as the artist.

Preemptive Library Patronage

I checked out a whole stack of stuff from the library.
--three movies
--a book about menopause
--a memoir by Augusten Burroughs (about his problems with alcohol)
--two books on cake decorating (Plum and Adara's birthdays are this weekend; Hannah's is the next)

Between all that, my unfinished doll, and needing to deep clean the house, I don't have any excuse for just moping around.

Good news, I'm starting full time at the library right away. (This was a full week anyway because the other department part-timer is on vacation.) Damn. No more long weekends.
