misc notes

baking: did another go round on test cakes last night. While I felt the batter on the first batch was a bit too light, these turned out a bit too dense. (Maybe next time I'll get it just right!) Tried adding instant pudding mix, white chocolate flavor, to the batter, but it gave it a sort of rubbery texture I don't like. Don't worry, Ariana, I'll get it worked out for you!
dumpster diving: hauled home a broken mirror. I liked the ornate carved-look frame (even if it is faux wood molded plastic), and think I could use it in some sort of funky art piece.
