Got up at 6:30 to go take my walk, but it's raining fairly steadily.

Guess this mean we'll have to reschedule outdoor picture taking in the park tho for another day. :(

Looking over my recent LJ, I see too much whining and not enough content. Yeah, that pretty much sums up my life at the moment.

Fuck it, it's just water (and that's all tears are too); I'm going out for a walk.

Later Edit: 4 mile walk. Got soaked to the skin, but it was okay. Once my shoes got squishy anyway, I even spent some time purposefully splashing  in puddles.

Nick Cave MURDER BALLADS

Found all of the tracks, except one, from this 1996 concept album on youtube. ( playlist )

As the title suggests, the album consists of new and traditional murder ballads, a genre of songs that relays the details (and often consequences) of crimes of passion.

Sunday

--Four mile walk in the rain.
--online chatting, some of it was even a real conversation!
--online music listening.
--received Birthday greetings from several LJ friends! Thank you. :)
--received Birthday email from my Dad; card to be mailed late as usual. :)
--sculpted more fondant flowers* (I'm going to be all things cake- except eating it- this week...)
--work 1-5
--websurfing info on transporting cakes.
--stopped and shopped for baking and foodstuffs.
--also splurged and bought a couple danskin exercise tank tops at Walmart; was getting tired of wearing the same ratty old ones all the time walking.
--fixed sauteed eggplant, onion and peppers over couscous for dinner, served on my favorite plate (yes, I have a single favorite plate)
--just staying home, got movies from the library to watch and Dexter's on Showtime tonight as well.

*wolfmare I really did try to make chocolate sculpted flowers, but I never could get the consistancy right with the white chocolate! So ending up using fondant for the flowers, which looks better (pure white), but not as tasty. :( Don't worry, there is white chocolate in the cake and frosting. :)

It hasn't been too bad a birthday at all. :)
