today briefly

april's art show was very nice. I really liked her stuff (paper cranes and peace message motifs); reminds me of things I used to do (both art and activism) when I was about her age.

The cake turned out fabulous. I was so happy that april was pleased with it.

Russ was there. No high drama, but I hate that (even at this late date) seeing him still gets me upset.

Can I please just turn off ALL my emotions for a while here?

JJ was a dear and ran a bit of supportive social interference for me. He also took cake pics. :)

Brody showed up too, and some of the Flying Monkey regulars, and got introduced to some other people too.

So much for being social.

Went to the bank. (hey, Hannah, I have money for you...)

Went to Walmart and picked up some prep stuff for tomorrow. 8 Hr/time release Tylenol; a couple Kashi protein bars; socks; a pair of leggings. Went to B&N and looked at audio books, but nothing struck my fancy enough to buy.

Been raining all afternoon; forecast is for more of the same tomorrow. damn.
