exercise note and related stuff
Mar. 23rd, 2009 05:09 pm3.5 mile jog. Delano Park during my afternoon meal break from work; no, I guess I'm not tired of running circles around the park yet. :)
Tomorrow, I have another day off (because of working last weekend) and intend to go out for a leisurely and slightly longer greenway jog.
Provided, my sinuses behave themselves. Allergies have been hitting me off and on the last few days. Guess I need to start popping OTC meds for that rather than continuing to feel blah and fuzzyheaded. At least, I'm supposing it's seasonal allergies now, and not a cold/flu or that I'm just still severely run down. It's been over a week since the race, so don't really think I can use it as an excuse for malingering much longer.
Did something for myself today. I went back to Weight Watchers and went to a meeting. I know, I know, WW really is somewhat middleclass suburban diet-industry dorky, but on the other hand it's mostly sensible nutrition and diet advice. I know, it's also kind of weird to wait until I GOT to goal (all by myself, thank you) before doing this-- but I really am concerned about maintaining my weight loss, fitness level and current good habits. This way, I have some outside support, structure, and accountability. Besides, since I am at goal/healthy weight (and since I am a "lifetime" member from before), it won't cost me anything to attend meetings. If I can keep myself on track with maintenance and not get caught up with the desire to lose more; it could be useful.
My recorded weight there today was 139.6 lbs (about a pound higher than my at home scale reading but one does have to wear clothes out in public).
