Now, I'm old enough that I *could* remember this from c1970 (and I do recall watching "Born Free", as a preteen, and reading those books from off my father's bookshelves). A member of 50bookchallenge posted a review of the new edition of CHRISTIAN earlier today, and that's what sparked my interest to go find the online video clips and more information about this touching animal story.

I even passed the links around the library and suggested we pick up a copy of the book or movie for our collection; it may be nostalgic, sentimenal and dated, but still inspirational.
