Books 43-46
Jul. 21st, 2009 09:18 am43)Koenig, Karen R. RULES OF NORMAL EATING. Gurze Books: 2005.
44)Fagone, Jason. HORSEMEN OF THE ESOPHAGUS : competitive eating and the big fat American dream. Crown Publishers: 2006.*
*LOL....YES, I am aware of the incongruity of reading these two books one after the other! The first really clicked with me; I need to reread it more closely and apply the information into my own life. The second book was interesting to read, in an adversion therapy sort of way (hot dogs and hot wings never seemed quite so unappetizing), especially from my reader's pov as a disordered eater.
45)Kibler, M. Alison. RANK LADIES: gender and cultural hierarchy in American Vaudeville. University of North Carolina Press: 1999.
46)Bruns, Roger. DESERT HONKYTONK: story of Tombstone's Bird Cage Theatre. Fulcrum Publishing: 2000.**
** these two scholarly books were from my Dad's research shelf; I think it's cool we share some uncommon interests.
