Rainy day yesterday. 2.5 mile jog. Lol. Was at Delano Park and it reminded me of the race--because of the rain and all the puddles to dodge! Oh well, think I needed an easy day anyway.
Need to call Hannah at my lunch time today (sorry kiddo--the usual excuse,I got busy last night and forgot my phone); will catch a stretch walk then and a jog after work (weather cooperating). Forecast says it should clear up by the weekend, so I should be good for my long workout plans anyway.
Happy birthday to me:
I snagged these Newton running shoes on Ebay... aren't they kickass? I was so happy that the shoebox was in the mailbox yesterday! :)
Right after I read about the shoes the other day (Pam Reed wears them), I checked out Ebay..and there was a pair up for Buy It Now sale, just my size...I couldn't resist. They retail for $155 a pair (gasp!!!) but I got them for less than half of that, which still made them high end of my sneaker budget but affordable. I've never put on a pair of shoes that fit and felt so good on my feet straight out of the box; I hope my glee continues you when I actually hit the road in them. They are very light weight and supposedly designed to encourage a better-for-you gait and foot-strike more like barefoot running.

Naught to do with exercise, but (just to note) I spent last evening alternately computer chatting and working on my current sewing project. I'm kind of hoping that if I do an early evening workout tonight that I get a bit of second-wind insomnia, and can then stay up late making more progress with the sewing. :)
Later Edit: 3.5 mile walk (and talk) at lunch.
Later again: 5 mile jog. The new shoes felt good!
