5 mile jog.

Weird weather; a bit of snow less than a week ago, thunderstorms and tornado warnings yesterday, and 60 degrees with wind and sun today. Chance of rain 40% on Saturday.

I still don't have a good idea what I can/should expect from myself in Saturday's marathon.

Ideally, I'd like to finish and make the official cut off time of 6 hours.

Will settle for any finishing time and amount of walking pace.

Would be reasonably content(with a view on recovery and continuing training) if I get a decent 13 miles (half distance) or so in before my hamstring tells me "enough".

Worse case scenario, have to be smart and drop out earlier at any point in the race if my hamstring give any real warning signs.

To commemorate my recent run in the Flying Monkey Marathon....here is the fine result of another afternoon spent under the needle of Greg Ross at Blue Rose tattoo.

Squeee! Ain't it just the cutest little flying monkey tattoo (based on the marathon logo, a stuffed toy I have, and reference pics of a golden lion tamarin)? I think I'll name him "Ozee". :)

lol...darn it, I just thought I could have had the artist draw him clutching a packet of dripping GU! I may have to add that in at my next tattoo session!

74) Block, Francesca Lia. NYMPH. Circlet Press: 2000.

A nice little book of magical-realism and erotic fantasies; I wish I lived in the world she writes.
