The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is tonight! I'm crossing my fingers that the weather may actually hold, be warm and dry; there's only a slight 10-30% chance of rain in the forcast and not til tomorrow morning.
My library coworker, Christen, did her relay last week in Hartselle--but it got rained out with BAD storms after a couple of hours. She said it was still a good experience though.
Hannah is coming over to my place this afternoon and we'll drive over to the park in Huntsville together; Dana will meet us there. Im hoping Hannah arrives here in time that I can convince her we need to go have pancakes at IHOP to feul up before the event.
I bought some gatorade and stuff for PBJ sandwiches yesterday. Will probably stop at the store with Hannah too for more energy food and snacky stuff. Lol; think I'll make this a GU free event. note to self: remember to bring some drinking cups, papertowels, and a knife. I've also got my extra socks and a change of clothes ready (and my pajamas--think I'll start off in running wear and put on the silly kitty pjs later). Am pondering finding an appropriate book (looking up records for inspirational cancer memoirs in the library catalog) to take--I could walk and read at the same time to pass some time; hmm, will need a flashlight then too.
I'm looking forward to seeing Dana again, chatting more and jogging with her for as many laps as we can handle. STILL havent found out the distance of each lap (to figure miles) or how I'm going to keep track of laps done.
Barry said he might stop by around midnight to check up on me. If so, I guess that means he'll meet Hannah then. :)
