averages & odd
Jul. 2nd, 2010 09:54 amI averaged out the training miles log I posted yesterday...which comes to an average of 40 miles per week for the ten week period. That's decent for marathon training or base level for ultras; sure, I should have been more consistant, but still nothing to be ashamed of!
But I put on 10 pounds in that time too. NOT good. :( Yes, I'm ashamed of it because there was a lot of binging in there. I really was slipping bad. But, Yikes! How "BAD" was I to have gained 10 pounds in 10 weeks while running 40 miles a week? Or has my hormonal weirdness added to the mix (and the weight) as well in some sort of vicious circle/cycle?
Had a good 6 mile run on the Pt. Mallard trails yesterday after work. Rats tho; missed out as the local running club was having a Family Fun Run at the same time, but started at the opposite end of the trail! Checked their website and there will be Thurs night runs at 6 pm through July, so maybe I'll catch the next one!
Working on Day 4 of eating clean. Avocado smoothies rule in the summer.
Later Edit: short 3 mile "Jared jog" at lunch--that's hoofing it up the street to Subway, buying a veggie on wheat sandwich and eating it while walking back to the library. :)
My running friend Dana (who did the cancer relay with me) and her husband just moved to Huntsville. She and I are getting together on Saturday morning to run at the Aldridge Creek Greenway. Am looking forward to it.
