Red wasn't enough....THINK PINK!

My library director is GREAT; I have the OK at work to wear my hair dyed PINK RIBBON PINK for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. :) Look for me to be sporting this new colour in the next few days!

I love doing things that make a statement! (as well as a fashion statement) :)

There is a local fundraising/awareness Ribbon Run http://www.lizhurleyribbonrun.org happening soon in Huntsville, but it's the same day I'll be at the Nashville Ultra. So, I can't actually run in the 5K, but I thought of something I could do to donate to the cause and karma:

Hello!
Regretfully, I'm not going to be in town for the Liz Hurley Ribbon Run this year, as I am going to be up in Nashville that day running a 50 mile ultramarathon.

However....I was wondering if I could still register for the RR 5K and get one of the race T-shirts at the pre-race packet pickup, which I would then wear to the event I am participating in on Saturday the 16th? I would like to do my 50 Miles in the spirit of the Ribbon Run and in honor of breast cancer awareness.

fyi: I also just got permission from my boss to be able to wear my hair at work dyed Pink Ribbon Pink for the month of October. :)

Hoping the race goes well as a fundraiser and for everyone participating in the event!

Hi Heather – I love it! Yes, please do register and just be with us in spirit! We’ll have shirts here ready for pick-up next Thursday (see the site for pick up times/locations.)
Thanks so much for your support – we really appreciate it!
