73) Gruen, Sarah. APE HOUSE. New York : Spiegel & Grau, 2010.

When a family of bonobo apes, who know American Sign Language, are displaced after an explosion at a language laboratory, their mysterious appearance on a reality TV show propels scientist Isabel Duncan, together with reporter John Thigpen, on a personal mission to rescue them.

Second novel about bonobos I've read recently!

Others are putting up the X-mas Holiday decorations at the library today. For some reason, this activity always makes me moody and cranky. (Maybe its my holiday-of-choice post-Halloween let down?)

I'm avoiding the staff breakroom as well. It's loaded up with MORE food and treats that I need to stay away from.

I'm going running instead over my lunch hour.

Too funny: at the staff meeting this morning, the library director handed out fingerless gloves. I guess they aren't adjusting the heating system any. ;) Made me think of Bob Cratchit of course, so we're back to the bahhumbug theme...
