Collectible cool
Feb. 9th, 2011 09:48 amHad a telephone call to the Reference desk today asking if we had any information on antique carousel horses. I checked the catalog, replied that while the library might have one noncirculating ref book with some minimal information, this happened to be a personal interest of mine and I owned several good books at home.
So had a nice friendly chat with this LUCKY lady (she owns an antique shop in Hartselle) who managed to find an old carousel horse for sale and was wondering about identifying it. She's going to bring in pics of her pony on Monday, and I'll bring in my books to let her look at.
I'm jazzed, really curious to see what sort of carousel carving she has, (and am more than a bit covetous).
