well enough alone or excess is best?

Am pondering adding some more detailing to my new corset.
Perhaps some additional embroidery or beadwork? (I could see a touch of green going nicely)
Or a ribbon ruffle at the top edge? (or maybe just add said ruffling to a strapless bra to wear underneath the corset and pad out my meager bustline?

Need to get a pic of the back to show off the pink ribbon lacing and pretty gold aiguillettes!

As mentioned, will also eventually be making a steampunk bustle to coordinate with the corset. Once again, there will be no somber mourning tones to this ensemble.
