Fresh and new tattoo!

Had a bit of commentary about including the wings in the design. First, that they were too weird and bony looking. Yeah, I had to agree there and reworked the wing shape. Then, a couple friends said it reminded them of a "memorial" tattoo. I don't really see it that way, but I'm hoping having used the cheery bright blue ink makes it more like a stamped print image and takes that edge off it looking like a tombstone rubbing. Besides, things with feathers are a recurrent motif in my tattoo collection, and I liked the fleetfooted symbolism.

I like it. It's all good.

I also think I made a good choice of artist having Caroline do the work. Love the shading work she did on the footprint. Also, keeping with the baby karma, Caroline is pregnant and will be having a daughter in July. LOL...her baby name of choice is Beatrice PENELOPE; named after the character Penny (Desmond's wife!) on LOST.
