RELAY FOR LIFE
May. 2nd, 2012 09:44 amI'm participating in the local American Cancer Society Relay For Life again this year. The Huntsville AL event will be on May 18, 2012, from 7 pm to 7 am the following morning. Funding cancer research and showing my support of fighters and survivors is important to me.
If you feel likewise, and are able to contribute, here is a link to my fundraising page for online donations:

In particular, I'll be walking* in support of my ultra-running friend Angela. She has metastatic breast cancer that is now (among other issues) playing havoc with her liver.

*my goal is to spend as much of the 12 hours overnight as I can in motion (this year's slogan is "Cancer never takes a holiday", so I won't either.) However, I've got a 40 mile ultra this weekend and a 24 hour trail run the first weekend of June, so I'm going to keep the relay to a leisurely pace.
