GETTING MARRIED
Oct. 2nd, 2012 10:29 amI'm all twitterpated and a twitter, a ditzy anxious bride to be. Obsessed with all things wedding. Which is in 4 days!!!
I really hate that that I haven't posed here about all the excitement and plans and prep. It's over on Facebook. Ugghh, I really don't like Facebook (so then why do I use it so much? Because it's "easier" just to post snippets rather than take the time to blog with content. Because it is quicker to post photos there rather than here. Because so many of my friends are on FB and so I share with them there.) Still, I feel guilty for giving LiveJournal, a (possibly more literate and content rich) venue I actually much prefer, such short shrift.

I've been giving in to all my whims for this wedding. I've constructed brooch bouquets (a larger showpiece one for me, and a smaller one for my daughter as my maid of honor). You could knock someone out someone if you tried to toss one of these (weighs a small ton), but I'm really pleased with the beautiful look! I've altered and embellished my vintage 50's chiffon dress; constructed multilayers of petticoats to go underneath it. Finished my embellished umbrella project (which happens to match the dress) to use as a photo prop. And I'm baking a groomscake (pecanpie cheesecake) for B and the wedding cake (coconut cake with marscapone cream filling, light keylime buttercream frosting). Bought new running shoes to wear with my wedding dress (of course!) Getting my hair cut, highlighted and styled. Have my vows composed (and hopefully memorized).
Have been driving B. crazy...
For being a couple of largely anti-social folks, B & I ended up with 50 rsvp's for attendance on Saturday. We are having an outdoor wedding and reception up at Monte Sano State Park, have rented one of the cabins there for the weekend.
I will post photos as soon as I can after the event!
