I have a kitty

My friend (and one of my favorite tattoo artists, formerly of Blue Rose), Laura also breeds sphynx cats. I was lucky enough to get one of the the boys from a recent litter. Kitten was born on July 9th--which incidentally is day after my grandson Lennon's birthday. And I got to bring him home yesterday.
Haven't decided on a name yet. Have pondered all sorts of possibilities, but nothing seems right yet. I'm just not a big fan of names from pop-culture references or of silly ones.
First night at home went all right. Got him set up in the bedroom/bathroom. He ate, drank and used his litterbox like a good boy. Very playful, and seemed to be exploring the room without too much distress. When he settled down, he slept curled up close. Sphynx cats are like little space heaters--very warm bodied! I like that; I hope he stays a cuddly cat as he grows up. They do look a bit odd (when you are used to furred cats), the bone structure shows more noticably, their foot pads are a bit thicker and puffier, and of course the characteristic wrinkles and large ears! More of a skitter kitty than a slinky one in movement, maybe a bit gawky looking but in such a cute way!
However, he does still have some kitten nursing/comfort behaviors and likes to kneed, lick and suck. Lol...he nipped B's earlobe doing this and drew blood! And I woke up with a couple little "love bites" on my neck too. B suggests the name "Bela" (ala Bela Lugosi as Dracula), but he also suggested "Fig Neutered".
Are keeping new boy and Josette (our 3 year old female) apart for a couple of days and will then introduce them to each other slowly. Josette knows something is up.... I do hope things go smoothly with becoming a two cat household!
Anway, I'm quite smitten with my kitten. :)
