Layout for Aloha quilt, , The friend I'm doing this quilt for approves, so now the next step is to sew all these 324 3.5" squares together. I'm still working on the design for the  bordering applique portion, but probably won't  makup my mind til I see how the center looks all stitched up!

I'm sure hoping I can get the quilt blocks to square up when seeming them. Just laying them down on the floor for the lay out makes the angles seem a bit wonky.

I went to Hancock's Fabrics yesterday to get quilting pins and thread. Was very sad to see they are going out of business. (That will just leave JoAnn's here in town) But since they are going out of town, things are at a discount. I should crunch the numbers for what I need for the quilt backing and go get that and batting as well.

I did ended up buying some beautiful tropic print linen, and a coordinating  satin solid, that I couldn't resist (someday, I'tll be a nice summery dress, but not right now). I blame my firend for my newfound interest in hawaaian inspired prints. Just like with paisleys though, I think some print facbrics are lovely and some are godawful.

Of his own volition, B began moving stuff from the "dining roon" into other storage spots. the ultimate goal is it being MY room for crafting, with just my things in it.
