Test One

I've only been taking the naltrexone for a few days, but I think it's working. Test 1 was going out to eat. Went out last night for sushi with a friend. Sushi can be one of my favorite  "I want to pig out and overeat" foods. I ordered three rolls (Tuna and avacado; Tempura shrinp; and California with salmon). R and I shared, a few of my sushi for nibbles of his teriyaki salmon. Also had miso soup and 2 pieces of tempura veggies. I'm giving you the whole menu, so you can see I did eat plenty, but I also came home with 10 pieces of leftover sushi. I call that a success and lunch for today!

Test 2 will be baking and decorating the cake for Lennon's birthday party. One, there's just all that sugar around, and two I often get frustrated somewhere along the process and frustration makes me want to eat.

Test 3 will be the birthday party next weekend. With lots of people and lots of junk food, it's another situation in which I often get anxious and then overeat/binge. (Memory of the buffet reception at my sister Lisa's wedding....Dad making the comment that I "sure could pack it away.")  We'll see what next weekend is like.

2.25 mile walk this morning. Mostly just stretching out from yesterday's (relatively) longer harder workout.

Came home and took a shower, and now it's time to quilt again.

What is a binge (for me):Compulsively eating a large amount of calories in a small amount of time. Mostly sweets and carbs. I just binge, I don't purge.

For instance:
Being a teenager, eating enough peanut butter and honey sandwiches that , while out on my paper route job, I couldn't make it back to the bathroom in time when I shit myself. (see, been doing this crap off and on for most of my life.)
Being in college and buying and consuming junk food from every snack machine on a walk across campus,
Recenty, buying and consuming 5 candybars in a row from the bin at work (But of course never when there was anyone else in the breakrooom.)
Recently, several cups of chocolate covered raisins and at least half a box of cereal with milk.
Stopping at several fast food places on the way home from work.,and then coming home to eat a "normal" dinner (so no one will know)
Stuffing with sweets.,like an entire box of Little Debbie treats.
Mixing up a box of cake mix and eating all the batter uncooked.
Eating whatever's available in the kitchen, enough to where I feel bloated and sick. Or where I feel "sugar drunk" and just want to sleep.

Stuff like that, (stuff as a noun and a verb)
