Was able to renew my car tags electronically, so didn't have to go stand in line at the office this year. Only took me a few minutes online this morning. Small favors appreciated.
Pulling together a last minute costume for next Sunday's Zombie walk, a zombie Tippi Hedren from "The Birds". Stealing the idea from this Fif Mahoney wig:

I've got some halloween decor crows to attach to the vintage wig ,worn with a latex fx "pecked out" eye patch and bloody makeup. (means I'll have to go without my glasses to the walk,but think I can manange that long without them; besides a blind stagger might be more Zombielike.) Will make a run by the thrift stores on Saturday morning to see if I can find a 60's looking skirt and blazer, but probably will end up just wearing something black and nonedescript from home, to focus on wig/crows/face and toss my feather boa around my shoulders for an accent. Lol..you know, I'm accumulating quite a wig collection.
Wish the pics from Friday night's pin up booth would get posted; so I can repost the one I had taken of B & I. Think I may be in a few of the other shots as well. Undecided if i want to wear the same Bride Of Frankenstein outfit or some differing version to the Sat night party, or if I'll get cold social feet and just stay at home.
Wish I'd hear back from Coleen about how her surgery went. She's probably still in the hospital resting up and not up to phoning anyone yet, but I imagine I should hear from her in a day or so.
Went to a thrift shop here in Decatur during my lunch hour, but it was a bust- nothing drew my eye or was in the right size.
I haven't been doing much of any running, but in an effort to give back a little and hope for karma/motivation, I've volunteered to help at an aid station in the Pinhoti 100 race. Mona and Graham are also volunteering, so I'll get to hang out overnight (its the aid sation at mile 85, almost the end of the race) with some friends and assist and support the runners. Hope the weather is good Nov 5-6!
