holiday run

e_phemerartLocal 10k (6.2 miles) race I'm going to run on Memorial Day. (darn it--could have saved some money by pre-registering, but oh well) http://huntsvilletrackclub.org/HTC_Races/crr/crr_09_mg.html
Since that weekend is also the Rocket City Fur Meet, I'm considering being silly and running the race in costume or see if I could get any of my fursuiter friends to come along as a cheer squad. :)
Don't have anything too elaborate to wear. Probably my ratgrrl "Posey" or a generic bunny ears and tail with the usual running gear and perhaps the RCFM T-shirt. Maybe some makeup (and see how much of it I sweat off). I have done a few costumed runs in the past; the attention is a kick and it's a good excuse for not being the fastest runner in the pack....

Thurs 6 mile jog
Yesterday evening's jog was nice; did laps over at Delano Park. (while wearing my Delano Park 12 hour Run t-shirt) Took me a couple of miles to warm up, but then I did several miles at a pretty good pace. Hey, it ain't all that record-breaking speedy, but a 12 minute mile is good for me!
Easy 3 mile walk at lunch today.
