I'm hoping that my apartment is in a little better shape when I get home tonight than when I left. No, I'm not expecting the magical housecleaning fairies to have visited (although I wish they would), but I hope the maintenance guys got through repairing/replacing my water heater.
Woke up this morning and stepped out of my bedroom onto a wet and squishy hallway carpet. And then noticed the water all over the kitchen floor.
Lol...my first groggy thought was to "blame the cat", until I realized there was way too much water for Ashes just have spilled his small water dish!
I mopped things up and went over the apartment complex office. I suppose that is actually one thing I like about renting-- I'm certainly no handyman and so it's good that someone else is responsible for the major fixes. At least in theory...in actual experience, it took me repeated maintenance requests and months to get my refrigerator repaired correctly...
