Kinda surprised myself the other day; stretching before the mirror, I could see my ribcage. (this is me, today, arm raised to stretch, but not sucking in my breath)





Then, I found this pic online and loved how it reminded me of Dia De Los Meurtos calaveras. However, at the same time, it's disturbing as a portrait of an anorexic.

That's sorta how my ribs look- yours, not the anorexic girl's. Sometimes I'm kinda self conscious about it though, because I'm afraid that when people look at me they see something like the second picture.

I have to say, I like the second picture for it's artsy fartsy stuff; composition and whatnot. I feel really bad for the model, though :(

I think you're normal..it's probably normal to see ribs on a person. Not that I would know ;)

I think you only have to worry if you can see your ribs when your arms are down. And even then, it only creeps me out if you can see them in the front by your breastbone. Side ribs just mean you are lean, mean, runnin machine, lady!

I cant say for sure, but I do recall vividly when I was in art school and one of the models we had for anatomy/ nude figure drawing looked very much like this extreme.
