C asked me to help her out with some costume bits for a Dickens Faire next month; she's bribing me by sending me some cool handmedown items as she cleans out her closet. Including some fetish wear and returning "my" purple leather motorcycle jacket! ;)
Had a tougher "what can you say?" (other than offer hugs and support) phone call with another friend, who called to let me know his mother was in the hospital after a massive brain hemmorage and he had to make the decision to take her off life support. Also found out today that a previous employee of the library passed away from cancer on Thursday.
The reality of the above made me feel slightly shallow then for having watched a zombie movie last night, STACY. A very silly sly subtitled Japanese movie with school-girl zombies at that. (it would make an amusing grrlpower horror movie marathon with GINGER SNAPS and TEETH)
Sure, I'll buy expensive running shoes, but then do the rest of my shopping at Walmart and the thrift stores. Found a couple of pairs of jeans (size 6) that fit.
Speaking of buying--need to get a new mouse for my home computer. LOL..it hasn't worked right since my cat pounced on it. Seriously, Ashes jumped on the mouse and it went flying off the desk and crashed onto the floor and now the left-click is not functioning.
2.5 mile stretch and sunshine walk at lunchtime.
