I had my tattoo appointment today, and six hours later (a good 5 of it actually under the needle) the tattoo is HALF finished!
I guess it won't be another two years between ink sessions, as I have an appointment in June to finish this one up, but I just couldn't sit for a much longer session today. I'd reached my pain limit.
So far, so GOOD!!!!!
Greg is a proponent of "bigger is better", and the tattoo is about 11"X 7". It runs the length of my outer left (or anatomical right) thigh, from just above my knee all the way up the thigh.
The artist made some changes to the design. Not many, he said it was great. Added some roses behind the figure's head. Fancied up the lettering, and changed how the body disappears behind the script.
I'm more than pleased with the work so far, but I hate this unfinished state. I'm so anxious to see (and to show off) the completed piece!
*snerk* Now I have, at least temporarily, unfinished tattoos on both my thighs...
