Was home sick yesterday (with a cold).

Had a long workout planned for today but ended up taking it easier.
7.5 mile walk. Weather was great. I didn't feel too bad; maybe I should have kept going?

Well, although I already have afternoon social plans for tomorrow, maybe I can get my long miles in during the morning?

And if I don't, would it really hurt my training that much to skip one week's long miles and allow myself to really get over this cold before I start pushing hard again? I've still got 7 weeks til the marathon and so should be able to get in several more 18-20 milers before the race.

62) O'Nan, Stewart. THE CIRCUS FIRE. Doubleday: 2000.

Nonfiction about the Ringling Bros Circus fire in Hartford CT, 1944 in which 167 people died when the big top burned.

Watched a couple of zombie flicks (DEADGIRL and HAECKEL'S TALE*) on Netflix instant view last night, and am going to see ZOMBIELAND with friends tonight.

*This one was kinda "Tales From the Crypt or Darkside" cheesy, but (being based on a Clive Barker story as an episode for the Masters of Horror series) was also perverse and creepy...and I did have to laugh at the (spoiler) "Happy Poly Zombie Moment" that was the twist at the ending!
