I spent most of the day ditzing around the apartment waiting for UPS to deliver a package (a box of cool secondhand clothes from my sister!). I'd missed the delivery while at work on Tuesday and Wednesday. :( Long about 4:30 in the afternoon I finally get the bright idea to check the package tracking number online. RATS! Won't be redelivered til Monday! If I can't get them to leave the box at the apartment office, I should make arrangements to go pick it up myself-- my at home schedule just isn't working.
Finally had my Orientation session at the Wellness Center and have my basic weight training program planned out! (So, my exercise for the day was 45 minutes of cross training) Combination of machines and free weights, mostly concentrating on upper body and core strength. Took it easy on the leg exercises, as my hamstring is still tender. I'm frustrated about that too. Anyway, now I have to make the time in my routine to get to the gym 2-3 times per week.
No big surprise, but it is odd and annoying--my blood work showed I still have high cholesterol, 229 when the numbers should be under 200. Obviously, I'm currently doing just about everything "right" with a healthy diet, exercise and love of oatmeal. Is it just bad heredity? Have my years of overeating/binging screwed up my body?
Did a bit of housecleaning, but spent most of the afternoon catnapping (with my cat) and watching tv in bed. Lazy stuff but nice. :)
Drove up to Hannah's in the evening. Stopped at Starbucks for a coffee treat on the way out of Huntsville. Stopped at Subway when I got to Columbia and picked up a sandwich to deliver to Hannah at her workplace (what are Moms for?) as I had to swing by there to get her house key from her.
Avoided Walmart and the malls, but did go to HobbyLobby and bought some trim for the bonnet sewing project.
Made myself at home at my daughter's apartment and read for a while. Of course, I was asleep before Hannah actually got home from work (and now I'm awake and up before she is). LOL...we'll actually get to share some mommy-daughter time later on today. :)
Walked 4 miles this morning. No running with the muscle strain, but walking easy felt all right.
