off color baking
Dec. 18th, 2009 09:52 amNo, I haven't been doing more naughty themed adult cakes; I'm not refering to that sort of "off color". Lol...but remember when I recently grumbled about "pink and lime" being the new X-mas red & green? Maybe I should be glad for that!
Last night, I was baking more eggnog cheesecakes for weekend parties, and thought I'd try to get fancy and marble a red swirl design in the top of my creamy cheesecake. Well, the red batter baked out to a lovely shade of pink.
I'm sure it still tastes fine; No, it's not cherry flavor or anything; just pink. But I need to think about how to further decorate it so it looks fun and festive...and not just pink.
