Time for a cup of coffee and a short (ok maybe not so short) post before I head out for a run this morning.
Got a full weekend in progress. Last night, B. and I went to dinner with friends and then out to the movies. We saw PAUL. Alas, it's not nearly as funny as Shaun of the Dead, but is another mildly amusing and enjoyable geeky Simon Pegg/Nick Frost comedy. I liked snerking at all the sci-fi fanboy pop culture references. Coulda done without the family who sat right behind us (imo, with kids a little too young, who I'm sure didn't get half of the humor); the kiddos talked throughout and snickered annoyingly at all the silly swearing and potty langauage.
Today, B. is going to change the oil in my car and get the tire that went flat on me the other day replaced (just have a so-so spare on it now). We missed the St. Pat's concert on Thursday night because of the stupid car. Oh yeah, I'll gladly let him take on traditional gender roles and take care of that kind of stuff for me! I hate cars.
Going to try to make a stop by the Flying Monkey Artists Market this afternoon (and pick up some Fred Bread)!
Monthly Kink demo and socializing tonight. Topic is mummification. Saran Wrap, anyone?
Tomorrow I'm going up to Tenneesee to see Hannah. It's a pregnancy arts day for her--as she and Ken first have a photo session scheduled with a photographer friend, and then I'm assisting with a plaster sculpture craft project (casting her pegnant belly). Then I get to play Mom and cook dinner, beef stroganof (mushroom for me) being requested.
Grr..hope the Post Office gets the note and a clue. I'd noticed a couple of days where I didn't get any mail, and then yesterday there was a "Vacancy: New Resident" notice in my mail box. Umm..Coleen moved back to California and so filed a change of adress, but I'm still there and want to get my mail!! Especially since I recently ordered a couple of things that should be showing up soon! So I hope that filling out the form and making a note on it as to which of the Whiteside sisters is still in residence will take care of matters.
Could ramble on more about this or that, but my coffee cup is empty and I best hit the road before it gets too much later. Going to experiment today with a 10 miler done in (Galloway method) intervals. The idea is that using a run/walk ration (like 3 minutes running followed by 1 min walking, repeat) conserves energy over the long haul and leads to more consistent overall pace/times. Looking for an antidote to my starting out too fast and then getting drastically slower and slower in my long events.
