There was a retirement party for two of our cataloging and tech services librarians yesterday. I had made a cheesecake that got rave reviews. LOL, and cheesecakes are so much easier and less time consuming to prepare than decorated cakes. (Hmmm...I think decorated cakes go for the visual win and cheesecake for taste.)

Thanks also to B. who went out and bought me a small bottle of amaretto liqueur, providing that special taste for this baking project (and leaving me enough to spike up up a couple cups of coffee).
