my motivation
Apr. 26th, 2016 11:37 amlevels are pretty decent at the moment. Hope that continues.
I'm making progress on the quilt, but those borders are going to take me a good while. I think I may take the additional time to baste the appliques down rather than just leave them pinned; it would be a bit more secure that way, and I wouldn't be catching the sewing thread on them. or losing pins on the carpet.
B and I are going over to visit Judy this evening. I may take the quilt pieces to show her what I have done so far.
I think I've pretty much conquered the longtime nasty habit of biting my nails.
If I can stop biting my nails, I can stop biting snackfoods just 'cause they are there in the breakroom and at home. This has less to do with dieting and more with changing another habit to the good. I eat too emotionally and I eat too much damned sugar and sweets over more nutritious snacks and meals (note to self---have a healthier snack ready if I am really hungry, as opposed to being bored or frustrated). mantra: I don't have to bite it.
Laura sent a snap of my dress in progress. She says it's going to be "super cute" and she should be able to get it finished this weekend. I'm real excited and anxious to try on Cherry Cordial's dress! The wig I bought on etsy has also been shipped (my Cherry costume splurge is over). The quilt is my top creative priority, but I will take a couple of days to do any accesories needed for the pin up costume.
