I did dress up for a costumed "Spooktacular"  5k run on Saturday; wore my pedestrienne outfit. I figured correctly that people wouldn't "get it", and I only had one person ask about it. She wondered if I was dressed as an American Girl Doll. I gave he a little bit of history. The run it's self was good, if you can call finishing in about 50 minutes good. Well, these days its what I can manage, and I felt good and had fun with it. Hey, I was running while wearing a corset with the outfit, so maybe I could do a 5k even faster in regular clothes. There were lots of runners and kids in costume, mostly of the store bought or runner's tutu variety; still, it was a nice family friendly festive event. I'd like it if maybe next year Desmond wanted to do it with me.

I ened up bailing on both the Monster Mash party and the Zombie walk. Just wasn't feeling perky (spent most of sunday in bed sleeping); don;t know if it was dregs of the cold I had staying around or more depressive or some combination. Of course, I feel "bad" for not being social or going out to play dresss up like I'd planned. That means I have a  new unseen and unworn costume, as I did make up a "Tippi Hedren in The Birds" wig and outfit, (Did find something at the thrift store that would work for suggesting Tippi's green suit, not spot-on but good enough. Also picked up a black handbag,) Maybe I'll put it on if we go out to dinner tonight, or just to have B take a photo snap or two.

Am wearing my Spookytown print dress and BOF wig at work today. Got a few compliment on that. As usual, the storytime kiddos making their Halloween Costume Parade around the library were all so very cute.
