Race results posted: 1256 finishers in the marathon at the 6 hour time limit. I was across the line as #1028. Why do I always feel a little niggling need to apologize for being a back of the pack runner?

Yes, I was creaking around a bit on sore legs post race, and today is going to be a rest day, but physically I'm feeling pretty good!

I think you did well.
It doesn't matter where you finish, if you're not racing for money. At least, that's how I see it. You are doing well.
