Went to Hobby Lobby and Handcock's Fabrics today and picked up a random batch of materials for my Halloween costume project.

red, yellow, silver model paint (to spiff up the plastic raygun)
a styrofoam wig head (duh, for wig construction)
black dome buttons (for gauntlet decoration)
chenille stems (maybe will use for eyelashes)

headliner foam (to use as bootcovers and gauntlet base)
fabric in appropriate colours (to cover and decorate gauntlet)

got paranoid about if/how I'll get the lycra softsculpt headpiece done to my liking and in a timely fashion, so I also ordered a couple cheap costume wigs in an appropriate colour that I can cobble together into Leela's hairstyle if need be

printed off tutorials (from cosplay sites) on
non stretch boot covers
poneytail wig construction
printed off the Leela pics I'll be using as reference

Now, I am at that precarious place of having all the ideas, references, and supplies necessary... with just enough time avaialble before needed...but still have actually to start crafting.
