To learn how to ride a unicycle! It'd be good cross training, don't you think? :)

a couple circus girl references
btw, I logged 35 miles overnight at the ACS Relay for Life last Fri/Sat! And got in 61.98 total miles for the week.
Brief report: Good overnight dusk to dawn training for a good cause at the the ACS Relay for Life. Slow steady walk/jog pace as planned. There is a real advantage to that, instead of now being post-race sore and stiff, I'm already feeling pretty darn good again! btw, this was 114 laps of a .5 km circuit for 35.42 miles.
High points were the Luminaries ceremony and seeing the flock of hot air lanterns released to sparkle and flicker as they floated away in the night sky, and later on watching the sun come up. Lots of time to meditate on life; a serious concern, fighting cancer, but a lot of folks out there having fun.
I garnered the usual comments on my colorful attire and on being an "energizer bunny". Was one of the participants with the most individual laps completed; but not top dog-- there was a young man with a runner's pace who also was out there on the track all night long. Actually, I called it quits at dawn, but I think he kept going until the official closing time for the event at 7 am. Never caught his name, but kudos to the guy! lol..actually felt kind of good not to let any little competitive bugs or chasing after Personal Bests bother me; to run slow and smart..and am now feeling good about what I may accomplish in my next 24 hour event in two weeks time.

Walking thru the night and an Artsy in-motion double exposure shot
