Costumes, costumes, costumes

Sorry, no photos this time around, but Version 1 of the Bride of Frankenstein costume went over well at last night's party. :) Nope, I'm too fat for my corsets right now, (and I refuse to wear them ill fitted with a wide back gap), but this fetish version was perked up with back leather wrist cuffs and a leather & chain collar/chest harness piece, which actually worked quite well.
B wore his creepy dead-eye contact lenses, with his standard blue jeans and a (get the joke?) white "wifebeater" t-shirt. His favorite response to friends asking "How's married life?" was "I've only had to kill her once, but I put her back together."
If I have time after finishing Desmond's costume, I may continue dinking around with BoF details before wearing it again next weekend. We'll see.
Actually, I'm packing up all my sewing stuff and driving up to TN this morning; will spend the day sewing and crafting in Hannah's kitchen and hopefully getting D's costume complete. Being able to fit to measure and then sew is my excuse for a grandmama's visit...
Let's see...dress up possibilities include Friday night for FleetFeet costume contest and FlyingMonkey show (glam-Bride version 2); Saturday morning is the Spooktacular 5K (Bride V3 with running shoes and simplified somewhat for movement), and maybe a party in the evening. Sunday is going with the Steampunk group to a local Ren Faire (historical dress up, not Halloween; I'll be era appropriate not gaslamp); Monday I'll wear my seasonal print jammies to work the evening shift (Anna, one of the circulation department girls, wanted someone to dress up with then), take some throw on accessories(maybe skelly bones outfit) for Tuesday when the children's storytime group is trick or treating in the library, and full BoF (most family friendly version) All Day on All Hallow's Eve. :)
