124.8 lbs

Up +.8 from last week, but some fluctuation was to be expected...

slightly less miles than the previous week (but, not a problem, my training is on target)

being more mindful about eating most days (appropriate calories and nutrition)

one unmindful sugar binge (negative) "seek progress, not perfection"

one social splurge meal (IHOP with the gang for a late dinner on Saturday evening--this I should not feel guilty about)

Later Edit: 5 mile fast paced run; would have liked to do more, as the weather was sunny and great, but that's all I had time for (household chores and errands to do too before work.)
Later still: 2 mile walk at breaktime.

Just a few random comments about Saturday night's AntiFashion Show:

I'm used to seeing Sasha in tattered gamin goth/punk wear, but she glams up really nicely in retro vintage too! Except I REALLY wanted to steal the black tafetta dress she was wearing and see if it would fit me!

Keaton was rockin' his striped silky robe, accessorized with a bowler hat and gas mask, flashing his knobby knees, and giving off a sort of Clockwork Orange vibe.

Barbara was sultry and voluptuous in her outfits.

RID was wonderfully genderqueer in a backless Irish-green kirtle (damn, I'm jealous of that boy's hair; middle of his back long, wavy, red); the scruffy beard and heavy boots (looked like they could do some clogging) made it.

*all of the above models are young steampunk acquaintances of mine.

As owner of Karma Rags, Cheryl's "wear clothes you like" multiple layers/semi-strip tease introduction was cool. (as was her later comment to me that "next year you should help out with the show.")

From the local DIY designers, there was more interesting stuff. I quite liked the form fitting paper dress--literally formed fitting as it was made of cast paper, and another outfit that wasn't paper but reminded me of origami and anime.

I also enjoyed the band/background music used for the show.

A very ARTSY and entertaining event!

Over the weekend, I accomplished:
--soccer ball birthday cake (turned out cute and tasty enough. Maybe JJ got pics?)
--DIY alterations art-to-wear ensemble.
--zombie costuming (still in progress but making progress)
--attended AntiFashion Show
May not seem like all that much, but it's as much Art as I've accomplished in quite a while.... Felt good to be creative!!!

My daughter asked me why I hadn't posted about her.....

Poor baby has been sick all weekend with a bad case of bronchitis. She was going to come visit me, but instead went to the doctor's and then wisely stayed home in bed. She really did sound pathetic and out of sorts when I spoke to her over the weekend; meds have kicked in and she's beginning to do better now. We're going to try again to get together next weekend, when I guess I'll introduce her to the steampunk geeks and invite/drag her along to the Florence Ren Faire with me on Sunday. :)

ps) Hannah, remember (if you want me to proof read your paper tonight), you may be in Graduate School, but I STILL don't do homework after 9 pm. :)

wow.
